Compatibility with your mobile device
Are all mobile phones compatible with the Talk Out Mobile application?
NO, it must be a Google Android OS phone or Apple iOS mobile unit. (SEE Getting Started).
Can I use Talk Out Mobile with my Blackberry phone?
No. RIM (Research in Motion) provides a proprietary operating system for the BlackBerry which is not presently compatible with Talk Out Mobile’s application. We are working on supporting BlackBerry devices.
Will the Talk Out Mobile application work side by side with my current cellular call plan and number?
Yes absolutely. It’s a mobile application that will work side by side on your compatible unit with all current mobile provider’s cellular call plans and numbers worldwide.
Will all Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices work with TalkOut Mobile?
Yes. The only exception is the 1st generation of iPods as they did not have a microphone plugin option. The 2nd and 3rd generation of iPod Touch, will require an external headset and microphone, properly configured. As for iPad’s, an external microphone & headset will undoubtedly be more practical.

Can I install the Talk Out Mobile application on a jail-broke (unlocked) compatible mobile phone?
First, you DON’T NEED TO UNLOCK a mobile phone to use Talk Out Mobile app. Second, using an unlocked phone is NOT RECOMMENDED as firmWare and software usually have been tampered with, which may cause unreliable performance in communications.
Do you have a Soft Phone version I could use on my computer?
No, the Talk Out Mobile application is mobile-centric, designed and optimized specifically for mobile units NOT a desktop or laptop computer.
